Ashlee and John Mark: The MV.

There is a strong bond between every father and his daughter but Ashlee and her dad, Steve, are especially close, so it made sense to let the stories of a father giving away his daughter and the unity of a bride and groom converge on each other. I also thought it was neat that Ashlee was so taken with her shoes, that she was willing to plan her wedding around them, so we gave her footwear some love in this piece, too. Thank you, Ashlee and John Mark, for sharing your day with us!

The ceremony and reception were both held at Oak Hill Stables, and if you're a follower of the blog, you know how highly I think of this place.

This was our third wedding in Vicksburg and the third wedding with this family (we filmed Jennifer's cousins, Cari and Cori, as well). Childhood sweethearts. That's what Lindsey and Eli are and that was the main topic of discussion when Lindsey and I were going over the details of her day. I think the people that know us from childhood are the people that truly know us, so it's always fascinating to me when we come across a couple with that kind of history. So much energy and vibrancy at this wedding, but I have to say my favorite moments are the calm ones within the whirlwind. The look on John's face as he's presented with his wedding gift from Tori, and the tears in Tori's eyes during their vows. Thanks so much for sharing your day with us, Tori and John. It was well worth the Mississippi June heat we all endured ;-)!
